Stolyarenko Pyotr Kuzmich

(1925–2018)

Pyotr Kuzmich Stolyarenko is a Soviet and Ukrainian artist; Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1972), People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1985). Honorary Citizen of Yalta (2015)
He was born on July 13, 1925 in the village of Kapkany of the Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
Before the war, he visited the workshop of K. F. Bogaevsky.
He took part in the Great Patriotic War — he was a liaison in a partisan detachment.
Since 1945, he studied at the art studio at the I. K. Aivazovsky Feodosiya Art Gallery under N. S. Barsamov. Since 1948, he participated in exhibitions, including republican ones since 1952, All—Union ones since 1953, as well as foreign ones (Hungary, Yugoslavia, Finland, Albania, France, USA, Japan, Spain, Canada, Italy). In 1963, his first solo exhibition took place in Kiev.
Since 1953, Stolyarenko has been a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. In 1963-1978 he was a member of the Republican board of the Union of Artists. He has been living and working in Yalta since 1969. In 1990-1995, the work
